A seafront resort in the small bay of Pržno, on the stretch of the Budva Riviera between Budva and Sveti Stefan.
The place
Maestral looks out over the Adriatic from a small bay, with pine-covered hills behind. The setting is the reason to come: a swim in the morning, a long lunch, and an evening that starts late, the way it does all along this coast.
Pržno is a former fishing village with a handful of restaurants on the water. Budva’s walled old town is a short drive north. Sveti Stefan, the island village joined to the shore by a causeway, lies just to the south, and a path along the coast links the two.
When to go
June to September is beach season, and July and August are the busiest months on the Riviera. May, late September and October are quieter, and on sunny days the sea is still warm enough for most swimmers.
In winter many seasonal businesses along the coast close, so the resort itself does more of the work. Check which facilities are open before booking an off-season stay.
Around it
Sveti Stefan and Miločer Park
The island village and the pine park beside it, both along the coast path from Pržno.
Budva Old Town
Stone lanes, city walls and a marina, a short drive north.
Bay of Kotor
A day trip to Kotor’s old town at the end of a deep, mountain-ringed bay.
Before you book, ask
- Is the beach in front of the hotel for guests, and are loungers included?
- In which months is the outdoor pool open?
- The price and timing of transfers from Tivat or Podgorica.
- Whether the casino and restaurants have an evening dress code.
